Our Appliance Rescuers Service Updates texts are about service requests you make with us. They include scheduling and appointment reminders, technician arrival and job updates (such as parts status and follow-ups), payment links, invoices and receipts, and a request for feedback after your service.
We don’t send promotional or marketing texts through this program. If we ever offer promotional texts, they’ll have their own separate, optional sign-up.
How to opt in
Texts are optional. You can receive our services without agreeing to them, and your choice doesn’t affect your request. You can opt in by:
- checking the optional, unchecked text-updates box when you send a request on our booking form;
- saying yes when our team or our assistant asks on a call whether you’d like text updates; or
- texting START to 415-417-1448.
Our text message opt-in page shows the exact wording for each method. Accepting our Terms of Service doesn’t sign you up for texts.
Frequency and costs
Message frequency varies with your service requests, usually a few messages per job. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. We don’t charge for our texts.
How to stop texts
Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them. You can also reply STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE or OPTOUT, or tell us in another reasonable way, such as by calling or emailing us. We’ll send one text confirming you’re unsubscribed, and then stop. Requests made another way are honored as quickly as possible and within the time the law requires.
To start again, reply START. Stopping texts doesn’t cancel your service request; we may still call or email you about it.

Message delivery
Carriers aren’t liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier, device and coverage, and isn’t guaranteed, so please don’t rely on texts for emergencies. A text about your request doesn’t confirm an appointment unless it says your appointment is confirmed.
Your mobile number
By opting in, you confirm that you’re the account holder for the mobile number or are authorized to use it. If you change or give up your number, please tell us, or reply STOP from that number first, so we don’t text someone else.
Privacy
We use your mobile number and consent record only for this program and to keep records of your choices. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Read our SMS Privacy Policy and Privacy Policy.
Program changes
We may change or end this program or these SMS Terms, and will post updates here with a new “Last updated” date. Our Terms of Service, including its disputes and arbitration section, also apply to our texts.
