How do I schedule a service?
Call 415-417-1448 to arrange your visit with Appliance Rescuers. Our team will confirm your appliance, address and appointment availability.
You can also send a service request through our scheduling form. Our team reviews your details; sending a request does not confirm an appointment.
What appliances and services do you cover?
We provide appliance repair, installation and maintenance. Our technicians work on washers, dryers, stacked & combination units, refrigerators, ice makers, dishwashers, ovens, stoves, ranges & cooktops, garbage disposals, and trash compactors.
Tell us the brand, model and what you need so we can confirm the service for your appliance. Installation includes garbage disposals as well as other major kitchen and laundry appliances. We also work on coin-operated washers and dryers. Trash-compactor service is limited to GE and Whirlpool.
How much is the diagnostic visit?
The minimum diagnostic visit fee is $75 for standalone appliances and $115 for stacked washer/dryer setups or double ovens. It covers diagnosis, the technician’s time and travel.
Your diagnostic fee is credited toward a completed repair when you approve the repair within 30 days of the diagnostic visit. Approvals after 30 days do not qualify for the credit. Installation and other combined-unit setups need a fee confirmed by our team.
Visits requiring two technicians are $149; our team confirms when this applies.
Can you tell me the repair cost before the visit?
Repair costs depend on the appliance, the fault and any parts needed. Our technician assesses the appliance in your home, then explains the recommended repair and its cost before starting the work.
The diagnostic visit fee is separate from an unapproved repair. You can ask questions about the estimate before deciding how to proceed.
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards, cash, checks and Zelle. Your technician can also provide a secure payment link. We do not accept PayPal or Venmo.
This website does not collect payments. Please coordinate any service payment directly with Appliance Rescuers.
When is payment due?
For approved repairs, a 50% deposit is due at approval. The remaining 50% is due immediately when the repair is completed.
Payment due at a visit must be paid that day. We do not accept Net 30, deferred payment or postdated checks; checks must be dated the same day.
Do you offer financing or payment plans?
We do not currently offer financing or payment plans. For approved repairs, a 50% deposit is due at approval. The remaining 50% is due immediately when the repair is completed.
Is there a warranty on your repairs?
When Appliance Rescuers supplies the parts, the repair includes a 90-day warranty on those parts and our labor. If you supply the parts, neither the parts nor the associated labor is covered by our warranty. Contact our team with any repair concerns.
Do you offer senior or military discounts?
Yes, we offer senior and military discounts. Ask our team about the applicable discount when arranging your service.
Can I request a particular technician?
Of course—let our team know whom you would like to request. We will do our best to accommodate you, subject to that technician’s availability.
Do you install new appliances?
We install washers, dryers, stacked & combination units, refrigerators, ice makers, dishwashers, ovens, stoves, ranges & cooktops, garbage disposals, and trash compactors. Our team confirms the scope for your appliance and setup.
Installation can include power, gas and water connections as appropriate for the appliance and setup. Tell us your brand, model and installation details so our team can confirm the scope and pricing.
Which areas do you serve?
We serve 73 cities across the Bay Area. Our team works from bases in San Carlos, Dublin, Berkeley and Walnut Creek, so we’re spread across the whole area. They’re working bases, not storefronts. Every repair happens in your home, by appointment.
Our full directory shows covered cities and current exclusions. If your city is not listed, our team can review your address case by case.
Are your technicians licensed and insured?
Yes. Our technicians are licensed and insured, and our company is licensed by the California Bureau of Household Goods and Services. They bring a professional, respectful approach to your appliance and the home around it.
Do you work on luxury appliances?
Yes. Our technicians work on regular and luxury kitchen and laundry appliances from domestic and international manufacturers. Share your brand and model so we can confirm the service your appliance needs.
Which appliance brands do you service?
Our current catalog includes 36 brands, from everyday household names to premium appliances. You can search the complete collection on our brands page.
We do not service Fisher & Paykel, True, Haier, Liebherr, Beko, Garland or Wedgewood appliances. For another unlisted brand, tell us the name and model so our team can check the service options.
What do you not service?
We do not service microwaves, kitchen hoods, vacuums, toasters, mixers or other small appliances. We also do not provide dryer vent cleaning.
Excluded appliance brands are Fisher & Paykel, True, Haier, Liebherr, Beko, Garland, and Wedgewood. Trash-compactor service is limited to GE and Whirlpool.
We do not service restaurant or industrial equipment, standalone water dispensers, pizza ovens, fire pits or HVAC vents. Freezer service covers the freezer compartment inside a refrigerator. We do not haul away old appliances or offer emergency or late-night appointments.
Are you open on weekends?
Monday–Friday: 8am–7pm. Saturday: 9am–1pm. Sunday: closed. We do not offer emergency or late-night appointments.
Can I bring my appliance to your office?
Our technicians come to your home by appointment. Our offices are for operations only; we do not accept customer visits or appliance drop-offs.
What information should I have ready when I call?
Have your name, service address or city, best phone number, appliance type and brand if known, and a brief description of the problem ready.
A model number is helpful if you have it, but it is not required to start a request.
Do you charge by the hour for a repair?
No. Repair pricing is based on the job, rather than an hourly rate. After diagnosing the appliance, the technician explains the proposed repair and its price before you decide whether to approve it.
Can I get an installation estimate from photos?
Sometimes. A technician may be able to provide an installation estimate after reviewing photos and details of your appliance and setup. Our team will confirm whether that is possible for your installation.
Call 415-417-1448 to arrange photo review directly with our team.
Can you install a replacement part that I bought myself?
Yes, we can install customer-supplied parts. Tell our team the appliance and part details so they can confirm the work. Customer-supplied parts and the labor to install them are not covered by our warranty.
Can I buy a replacement part without booking a repair?
We do not sell parts separately. The parts we provide are supplied as part of an appliance repair.
What if the part my appliance needs is discontinued?
For some appliances, a refurbishment option may be possible. This depends on the appliance and a proper diagnosis; we cannot promise that an alternative will be available. Your technician can explain the options and provide any parts updates.
Do you repair refrigerator compressors and sealed systems?
Yes. We provide refrigerator compressor repair and replacement, along with sealed-system repairs, for supported appliances. The technician needs to assess your refrigerator before recommending the work and quoting the repair.
Will the technician be part of your own team?
Yes. We’re a small local company with our own experienced team, not last-minute hires. Our technicians use manufacturer documentation and attend training and workshops to stay current.
